However, the latest research published by British scientists shows that sports shoes are not as expensive as possible. Cheap shoes are sometimes more comfortable and healthier than expensive brand shoes.

The head of the study is Dr. Rami Abd, the center for human kinematics research in Dundee, England.

The research team has prepared nine different models and different brands of sneakers ranging from $80 to $150.

Abboud concluded: "from this we can see that when buying sports shoes, we should choose the most suitable model for ourselves instead of blindly choosing high priced shoes."

His research report has been published in the British Journal of sports medicine.

Analysis of high price reasons

Abboud believes that the quality of sports shoes is not directly proportional to the price, because consumers are "cheap but not good."

In order to make more money, manufacturers cater to this consumption psychology and invest a lot of money to advertise high priced shoes in pursuit of high profits.

Abboud refused to announce the brand of the nine experimental shoes, but his research results have aroused widespread concern among practitioners and sports experts.

"I don't think this is a surprise," said Elizabeth Hafton, author of "race world" magazine. "Nowadays, the same brand of shoes usually adopt similar seismic mitigation technology, so the price has little effect on comfort."

In his research report, Abboud admitted that his experiment may be one-sided. After all, only 20 steps were taken to evaluate the quality of shoes.
