Ningbo Inspection And Quarantine Bureau: 10% Export Clothing Fastness
Recently, the inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Ningbo inspected a batch of women's garments exported to the United States, and found that the color fastness of the garments was not up to the required requirements. Color fastness is becoming an important quality standard in the international trade of textile and clothing. However, some textile and garment export enterprises in Ningbo do not attach much importance to color fastness. The inspection data of the textile inspection center of Ningbo inspection and Quarantine Bureau showed that last year, in the 321 batch of inspection of color fastness of exported textile and garment products, 40 batches of products failed, with an unqualified rate of 12.5%. According to the analysis, the color fastness unqualified items mainly focus on washing and wet rubbing two indicators, ingredients such as cotton, sticky, nylon, silk and other fabrics are easier to fade, but in terms of color, red, black, Navy, sapphire blue, orange and other deep and bright color fastness is relatively unstable.
Experts said that although there is no evidence that dyes used on textiles will be harmful to human body, improving the color fastness of textiles will undoubtedly reduce such potential risks.
