India Gujarat Will Lower The Seed Price Of BT Cotton.

Dilip Sanghani, India's Gujarat state minister of agriculture, said that a month long "Krushi Mahotsav" in Bardoli city will begin on Wednesday. The Ministry of agriculture will announce the decision to reduce the price of BT cotton seed on the day of its activities.

On Tuesday, he said that this is the world's largest holiday, and that tens of thousands of state government staff will take part in the event to raise public awareness of agricultural production, that is, to increase agricultural output through scientific methods and drip irrigation systems.

Krushi Mahostav is a major event sponsored by Gujarat state government. It provides farmers with specific methods to increase crop yields and related agricultural information, covering all 18600 villages in the state.

The government will publicize to farmers how good the drip irrigation system is and how modern scientific methods will increase production.

Sanghani said that in the past 3 years, the agriculture revenue has increased from 90 billion rupees to 340 billion rupees as a result of the launching of Krushi Mahostav activities in the state.
