In the first quarter of this year, industrial enterprises above Designated Size in Yiwu, Zhejiang maintained a "two digit" rapid growth, and 1120 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size accumulated output value of 9 billion 390 million yuan, an increase of 21.94% over the same period last year.

It is noteworthy that in the 30 industry categories of Yiwu's industrial enterprises, the 21 category's year-on-year growth is lower than that of the same period last year.

Yiwu textile and garment industry, chemical fiber manufacturing industry, plastic products industry, handicrafts and other manufacturing industries and other four industries slowed down year by year.

In the first quarter, Yiwu chemical fiber manufacturing, plastic products, textile and clothing, footwear and hat manufacturing, handicrafts and other manufacturing industries increased by 23.8%, 12.9%, 23.5% and 18.1%, respectively, down 23.5, 16.8, 7 and 4.4 percentage points over the same period last year. The decline of the four main industries resulted in an increase of 3.02 percentage points in the industrial output value of Yiwu.

Due to factors such as rising production costs, depreciation of the US dollar and other factors, we also need to supply domestic and foreign merchants according to the pricing of past contracts. Some of Yiwu's key enterprises have declined in terms of production and efficiency indicators, and the pressure on the sustained and steady growth of the industrial economy has increased.

The depreciation of the US dollar has also led to the shrinking of the profits of foreign trade enterprises in the US dollar settlement. At present, some enterprises in Yiwu are seeking to pform their exports to domestic sales, so as to deal with the problem of the decline in foreign trade profits.

According to the briefing, it is the key to promote the steady and orderly development of Yiwu's industrial economy to continue to carry out the strategy of "promoting business with industry and trade unions" in an in-depth manner. At present, many Yiwu enterprises begin to focus on optimizing the industrial structure and upgrading the product level, so as to get rid of the dilemma of industrial end products and low-level duplication, and lack of "right to speak" in competition.
