The seventh CPPCC National Committee member, the first millionaire in Guangzhou.

The ancestral home of Ningbo, Zhejiang, was born in 1919, came to Guangzhou in 1947, and opened a clothing processing shop in 1952.

In July 1, 1979, he received the first batch of self-employed licences in Guangzhou. In 1985, he also called the four millionaires of Guangzhou with 3 other entrepreneurs. In 1989, he received the first private enterprise business license of Guangzhou, and the number of V1 was 0001. The company was named Changxin Fashion Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou (now Guangzhou Changxing Industrial Co., Ltd.).

He died in June 29, 2008 at the age of 90.

On the eve of liberation, the Chen Xingchang family went down with the westerners' fleet, and the younger sister arrived in Hongkong, where he settled in Guangzhou.

At that time, there were many Shanghai and Zhejiang businessmen dressed in suits and Qipao clothes shops on the five road of Zhongshan's Chang Hing Street (now the new Daxin department store). Chen Xingchang worked here as a tailor and was once called the "street boy".

Around 1952, Chen Xingchang opened a clothing store with his wife, who had only one butterfly sewing machine.

At that time, there were fewer customers to make suits, and Chen Xingchang boldly changed into women's clothing and fashion, and soon expanded to three clothes cars.

In 1953, the couple moved the small shop to No. 75 road five in Zhongshan, adjacent to the commercial street of Beijing Road, and joined the Guangzhou household register.

During the cultural revolution, Chen Xingchang was hit.

After the "Cultural Revolution", most people were still uneasy about the current situation, and still did not dare to do business. Chen Xingchang dared to take the lead in the world and take the lead in July 1, 1979.

In an interview with the media in his late years, Chen Xingchang still proudly said, "I dare not say, but in Guangzhou, I was the first self-employed person with license and photo."

The newly opened garment factory has been developing rapidly.

In 1985, Chen Xingchang and 3 other entrepreneurs also called Guangzhou's four millionaires.

Last year, the newspaper sponsored the election of "30th anniversary people in reform and opening up", and Chen Xingchang was also one of the candidates.
