Recently, reporters from the Jiangxi Textile Industry Association learned that in the first half of 2008, Jiangxi's textile and clothing exports had overcome the adverse effects of RMB appreciation, export tax rebate rate decline, weak foreign market demand, raw materials and labor costs rising, and maintained a good export posture. In the first half of this year, the total export volume was 570 million US dollars, an increase of 11.8% over the same period last year.
