A forum of responsible persons of some textile enterprises in Shaanxi was recently held in Xi'an. More than 40 people from Xianyang, Baoji and Xi'an responsible for industrial administration and key cotton textile enterprises and research institutes attended the meeting.

Duan Keming, director of the Provincial Labor Association, was invited to the meeting and delivered an important speech.

This year, the textile industry in Shaanxi has encountered unprecedented difficulties. The output value, sales revenue, foreign exchange earning and economic benefits of the enterprises have declined compared with the same period last year.

Xing Xing and Duan Keming hope that the textile industry should pay attention to the three combinations in the current development: first, combine the relief from difficulties and the restructuring of the whole industry, do a good job in the construction of the textile industrial park in Xi'an and Xianyang, and meet the gradient pfer of the eastern industry to the West; two, combine the market development with the extension of the industrial chain, focus on developing the printing and dyeing and garment industry while doing cotton spinning, and continuously extend the textile industry chain in Shaanxi; three, combine government support with the development of the enterprise itself.
