Since last year, news of the relocation of Cantonese enterprises has continued to spread, and more and more thousand shoe enterprises in the Pearl River Delta have gone bankrupt or moved out.

According to the latest data, the losses of loss making enterprises in the previous May increased, and the number of deficit enterprises reached 11006, an increase of 12.7%, with a deficit of 20 billion 796 million yuan, an increase of 49.3%.

The export enterprises in the Pearl River Delta decreased by 2331 compared with the same period last year.

Due to various factors, the future development of Guangdong enterprises, especially the PRD enterprises, will face greater challenges.

According to customs statistics, 1-5 pairs of shoes exported from Guangdong in this year decreased by 15.5% compared with the same period last year, with an export value of 3 billion 970 million US dollars, an increase of 9.4%.

Among them, as the most intensive production of footwear in Guangdong, 940 million pairs of shoes exported to the Pearl River Delta region dropped by 25.7%.

It is worth noting that there are 2428 footwear export enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region, a sharp decrease of 2331 over the same period last year. Nearly half of the PRD footwear export enterprises have no export performance this year.

The Pearl River Delta shoemaking enterprise, which was once a precondition for the comparative advantage of location, land and labor force, has been advancing all the way.

However, with the development of the economy, the price of labor, land, raw materials, energy and other production factors in Guangdong, especially the Pearl River Delta region, has gradually opened up to some parts of the country. The rise in costs and profits has forced some enterprises to take into account the development opportunities in the mainland and even in Vietnam.
