Self Powered Production Shoe Factory Burst Fire
At 11 a.m. yesterday, fire broke out at a shoe factory in Tianfu village of Cangshan District, Fuzhou, and the smoke spread for one kilometer.
After more than 2 hours of rescue by firefighters, the fire was finally extinguished. Fortunately, no casualties were caused.
Witness Chen is a worker in the shoe factory. He said, at 11 a.m. yesterday, he was working on the first floor workshop, and suddenly he saw smoke billowing outside the window. About 10 minutes later, he suddenly heard someone shouting "fire" on the floor. Xiao Chen and his workmates hurriedly escaped from the factory. Soon, the 5 storey factory buildings were surrounded by fire.
At 11:15, the firefighters arrived at the scene and found that the source of the fire was a warehouse on the two floor stacking the finished shoes. Subsequently, firefighters took a multi faceted way to fight the fire, the fire was finally extinguished at 2:10 PM.
According to Xiao Chen, yesterday morning at 7 a.m., the factory buildings of the accident factory had all been cut off, and the factory itself carried out power supply production to ensure normal operation. Xiao Chen speculated: "it may be because the power supply is overloaded before it causes a fire." However, the relevant person in charge of the factory refused to confirm this statement. At present, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
