According to the statistics of the Wujiang inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the export of footwear in Wujiang continued to maintain a steady growth trend this year. In the first quarter, the Wujiang Bureau received 2131 batches of export inspection, the value of the goods was 47 million 690 thousand dollars and the number of exports was 10 million 950 thousand pairs, respectively 20.46%, 21.68%, 18.31%, and the quality was steadily rising, and no unqualified batch was detected in the first quarter.

Wujiang is a gathering place for footwear export enterprises. There are 74 large sports shoes factories, casual leather shoes and slippers factories in the city. Its export volume ranks second only to Yangzhou, and its export shoes are mostly Pu shoes, sports shoes and indoor shoes. Among them, 90% of export footwear products are exported to Japan, and some are exported to Europe and the United States.

According to the insiders, the main reasons for the rise in the quality of export footwear this year are: highlighting the detection of annex and anti fraud projects; increasing the intensity of cycle detection, enhancing the awareness of safety and hygiene in enterprises, implementing the classified management of enterprises better, promoting the mode conversion effectively, and grasping the quality from the source.
