Germany Is Ranked First In The Global Machinery And Equipment Industry.
At the sixty-first Hannover Industrial Fair held here, statistics released by the German machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association (VDMA) showed that in 2007 Germany's machinery and equipment industry exports continued to be the world champion, accounting for 19% of the global export share of the industry.
Manfred Mitterstein, chairman of the German machinery and equipment manufacturers association, predicted that the German machinery industry growth rate will reach 5% in 2008, creating 10 thousand to 30 thousand jobs, and the total number of employment in the industry will reach 965 thousand.
In the list of exports of machinery and equipment, Germany and Japan followed the 13% and 12% share of global exports respectively.
In the total output value of the industry, the United States ranked first with 257 billion euros, and Germany was ranked second with 207 billion euros.
