"The world's largest MDI (an important chemical raw material, mainly used in automotive dashboards, building external wall insulation, aircraft seats, artificial leather, etc.) factory opened in Chongqing this year.

After the completion of the project, 30 billion of the total investment will achieve 50 billion yuan in output value and about 200000 people in employment.

This is the information disclosed by Shen Xiaozhong, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the municipal coordinating and Reform Office, who is visiting Chongqing.

Shen Xiaozhong introduced that this year's key construction projects will be arranged with MDI integration projects.

The total investment of the project is more than 30 billion yuan, making full use of the rich salt gas resources and natural gas chemical industry base in Chongqing area, combining natural gas chemical industry, petrochemical industry and chlor alkali chemical industry, forming an integrated industrial chain of upstream and downstream, so far the largest industrial item in Chongqing.

After the completion of the project, it is estimated that the output value will reach 50 billion yuan and about 200000 people will be employed. It will play a great role in promoting the development of automobile, energy saving materials, chemical fiber and textile industries in Chongqing and surrounding areas.
