Under the coordination of trade associations, beverages, dairy products, canned food, baking, batteries, leather, feather, sundry, daily chemicals, hardware, plastics, ceremonial appliances, lighting appliances and other industries have taken action immediately. Donations and materials donated have been urgently needed for the disaster area.

The cadres and workers of the broad masses of light industry fronts do not insult the sacred mission, and have withstood the hard test of this earthquake relief work in practical action.

Organization work is fast and effective.

After May 12th, the government departments responded quickly and efficiently to the earthquake relief operations.

On the morning of 13 th, the light alliance established the emergency response working group of the earthquake relief team headed by President Chen Shineng and vice president of Wang Shicheng. He also identified liaison officers in beverages, dairy products, canned food, beverages, baking, batteries, leather, feather, sundry products, hardware and so on, and established a duty system to convey, communicate and reflect information in a timely manner.

The working group will keep in touch with the NDRC at any time, respond promptly to the requirements of the higher authorities, and contact the associations to do well the organization and coordination of relief supplies.

At present, China Light Alliance proposes to combine the light industry's own characteristics, gather industry forces, actively carry out targeted disaster relief work, require all trades to carry out the thorough work of the damage of industrial enterprises, encourage enterprises in disaster areas to help themselves, carry out different types of mutual aid and cooperation, and speed up the resumption of production; and comfort, condolence and help the affected workers.

It is required that enterprises increase the production of the needed materials for disaster relief and reconstruction, carry out targeted funding and material assistance, and do their job well in order to support the people in disaster areas with practical actions.

Rush to pport relief supplies

Disaster stricken areas badly need emergency rescue and relief materials such as iron drill, shovel, breaking forceps, hammer and so on.

On the evening of May 13th, China and light joined the emergency call of the infrastructure support group of the earthquake relief headquarters of the State Council.

The earthquake relief work group immediately contacted the China Hardware Association and the Shandong Light Industry Office, overnight telephone contact and emergency coordination, and a group of emergency relief supplies were rapidly concentrated in Shanghai, Hebei, Shandong Linyi, Zibo and other places, and sent to disaster areas.

Caring for disaster area member enterprises

Sichuan is a big wine Province in China.

The China Brewing Industry Association promptly contacted the alcoholic production enterprises in the disaster areas and sent letters of condolence to help the enterprises in their capacity.

Jiannanchun Group, Huarun Blue Sword (Mianzhu) company, Mianyang Feng Gu liquor industry, Chengdu the Great Wall Chuan Xing distillery and other enterprises were seriously damaged, the housing collapsed, the original liquor loss, some enterprises have ceased production.

Quanxing shares and Chengdu Longjing group also have varying degrees of losses.

At present, rice wine, wine, fruit wine, alcohol and other industries are not affected.

Yibin, Chongqing and other regions of the liquor making enterprises also basically did not cause losses.

Leather industry clusters are also in disaster areas such as Sichuan and Chongqing.

In May 13th, the China Leather Association sent a condolence letter to its colleagues around the epicenter and held a general meeting on 14 th to support the enterprises in the disaster area to resume production and operation.

The association arranges the Secretariat to investigate the disaster situation of some enterprises, because there are no leather enterprises in the worst hit areas. Therefore, overall, the damage of Sichuan leather enterprises is not serious.

The discontinued enterprises accounted for 40% of the survey enterprises, 35% of the normal production, and 5% of the enterprises had property or personnel losses.

Donations to solve the urgent needs of the disaster area

Over the past few days, China Light Industry Federation, various trade associations and enterprises have been helping generously, giving donations, donating blood, giving blood voluntarily, and surging with love.

Leaders of the association, including Chen Shineng, Yang Zhihai, Pan Beilei, Bu Zhengfa and Zhang Shanmei, took the lead in the donation.

Food products such as drinking water, functional drinks, instant noodles, biscuits, canned food, compressed food.

Clothing such as shoes, bags, bedding, bedding, down clothing and other functional clothing.

Other daily necessities such as stationery, lighting, flashlight, battery, household appliances, daily chemical disinfection products and so on.
