In October 3, 1912, interim president Yuan Shikai announced the adoption of the "Republic of China system" passed by the Senate.
"The Republic of China system" stipulates: "men's dress is divided into ceremonial dress, Party Dress 2 kinds.
The ceremonial dress is divided into 2 types: Book and night: the western style cloak is used in the book, the tuxedo is similar to the tuxedo, but the rear is circular, and the trousers are western trousers.
There are also 2 kinds of formal dresses: one is western style, the other is robe style, all are black, and the material is made of domestic silk, woolen fabrics or cotton and linen fabrics.
There are only 1 types of women's Dresses: the long and knee length gown, the long skirt, and the dress.
When wearing a dress to attend the funeral, the man should wrap the black yarn around his left wrist, and the woman will prefix it with black yarn.
The Republic of China system also made specific provisions for bowler hat and etiquette boots.
