Indonesia Has Recently Formulated The National Standard For Safety Leather Shoes
Indonesia The Department of metals, machinery, textiles and various industries of the Ministry of Industry issued the G/TBT/N/IDN/20 bulletin in October 15, 2008, entitled: Ministry of industry on injection molded polyurethane and thermoplastic soles. Safety leather shoes Indonesian compulsory national standard bill SNI:12-7079-2005, Goodyear welcomes Safety leather shoes Quality and inspection methods SNI:12-7037-2004, vulcanized rubber soles Safety leather shoes SNI:12-0111-1987.
The draft law announced the SNI requirements for safety shoes produced or imported, sold and sold in the country. Manufacturers or importers should have product certification using SNI logo and should meet SNI requirements.
The product certification of the SNI logo shall be issued by the Indonesian national accreditation body (KAN) or the product certification organization designated by the Ministry of industry: SNI Safety shoes Quality qualification inspection; quality management system (QMS) SNI:19-9001-2001/ISO9001-2000 and its implementation audit. Inspection and QMS audits can be subcontracted to laboratory laboratories and KAN accreditation or mutual recognition agreements (MRA) with KAN, and Indonesian QMS certification institutions accredited by foreign authorized institutions with bilateral or multilateral technical agreements in Indonesia.
The Department of metals, machinery, textiles and various industries of the Ministry of industry is responsible for implementing this decree and provides technical guidance for the law, including product certification procedures and SNI markings.
The domestic production and import safety shoes distributed in its domestic market should comply with the requirements of safety shoes composed of 3 standards: SNI:12-7079-2005, HS:6403.40.00.00, SNI:12-7037-2004, HS:6403.40.00.00, No.SNI:12-0111-1987 and HS:6403.40.00.003.
These standards specify the scope, terms and definitions, shoes design and components, quality requirements, sampling, inspection methods, acceptance and marking requirements. The date of approval of the act is 2 months after the notification. Effective date: 6 months after approval. Deadline for comments: 60 days from the date of publication.
