Jiangsu Apparel Association Joins Us Shoe And Clothing Organizations
Clothing and footwear industry in the US The Association (AAFA) and the US China clothing and Footwear Association (ACATA) will jointly convene the first American product safety and restricted materials seminar in Nanjing in from March 30 to 31, 2009 in Jiangsu Apparel Association. The seminar in Nanjing is mainly aimed at garment enterprises. Another seminar will be held in Dongguan, Guangdong, in from March 26 to 27, 2009, mainly for shoe-making enterprises.
American and Chinese clothing and footwear industry Li Suiying, Secretary General of the association, said that in November 2008, the United States formally passed the new product safety act. The bill made strict regulations on the use of chemical substances in some products, which made a great impact on a large number of enterprises in China mainly producing garments, shoes, toys and other products exported to the United States, especially for children's products.
Therefore, in order to ensure that Chinese enterprises do not export any dangerous substances to clothing and shoes exported to the United States, and help enterprises understand the relevant provisions of the new product safety act of the United States, Clothing and footwear industry in the US The Association (AAFA) and the US China clothing and Footwear Association (ACATA) will host the first China product safety and restricted materials Seminar on this issue, and will invite the consumer products safety committee (CPSC) and famous enterprises such as Nike and WAL-MART to attend this conference.
The meeting will focus on the new product safety bill adopted by the United States. The conference will also discuss how manufacturers, distributors and laboratories can ensure compliance with all the standards in the supply chain.
