26, reporters learned from the Ministry of commerce that Chen Deming, China's commerce minister, has visited Switzerland by the China Trade and investment promotion group.
During the Swiss period, enterprises from both sides actively discussed cooperation in the fields of energy, textiles, clocks, technology, software, energy conservation, environmental protection and service trade. The companies also signed a purchase and cooperation intention of more than 300 million US dollars with the Swiss ABB company and Hao Rui company, mainly used for importing domestic technology software, advanced electrical equipment and metal raw materials.
Chen Deming said that China and Switzerland are important economic and trade partners, and the two economies have strong complementarity.
In 2008, bilateral trade volume exceeded US $10 billion for the first time, reaching US $11 billion 250 million. China has become Switzerland's second largest trading partner in Asia.
