Su Lun Textile Factory "Change" Set Up Shopping And Dining
On the basis of protection, the sulun textile factory, which has a history of 100 years, will be pformed into the largest city complex in Suzhou, which integrates shopping, dining, business office, star hotels, creative industries and cultural entertainment. A few days ago, this project officially laid the foundation.
Proposed by Zhang Zhidong, founded in 1895, Su Lun cotton mill (Su Lun Textile Mill), backed by the ancient moat and the famous pan men scenic spot, is located in the golden section of Suzhou South Gate business circle. It is one of the founding enterprises of the Chinese national industry. The factory area has so far retained several buildings built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.
After the closure of sulun plant in 2004, Suzhou and Canglang District began to re plan the site, decided to use the old factory buildings and other cultural resources to develop creative industries, and conformed to the development trend of modern service industry to build high-end business office and commercial facilities.
