In March 12th, the opening ceremony of the first "Jiangsu fabric export base" was held in Shengze, Wujiang. Chen Xiaomei, leader of the Ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation, and Wujiang mayor Wen Xianghua jointly unveiled the foundation.

Wujiang is one of the first light textile bases jointly identified by the Ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation and the provincial finance department. It is also the first batch of "China popular fabric procurement base" jointly launched by the China Textile Industry Association, China Textile Information Center and the national textile product development center.

The Ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation hopes that under the guidance of Scientific Outlook on Development, Wujiang will strengthen organizational leadership and overall coordination in light textile export base construction, conscientiously implement the base development plan, implement supporting policies, give full play to the advantages of local characteristic industrial agglomeration, take the international market as the guidance, give full play to the exemplary and leading role of leading enterprises, speed up independent innovation, cultivate independent brands, pform the export growth mode, raise the level of industrial development, expand and strengthen the characteristic industries, and make positive contributions to the healthy and stable development of the open economy.
