Shiling Leather Leather Industry March Into Latin America
The global financial crisis has led to a huge impact on China's leather and leather goods industry, which is mainly export oriented. Yesterday, the leather and leather industry elite from Wenzhou, Yiwu, Shenzhen, Quanzhou and Jiangmen gathered in the Shilin, China's leather capital. By the time of the establishment of the leather industry association of Guangdong Province, they discussed the development plan to deal with the financial crisis.
The party secretary of Shiling Town, Huadu District, said that the financial crisis has made the Shiling leather products, which occupy half of the country's luggage and bags, is also facing three major problems, namely, narrowing profit space, increasing management costs and decreasing orders.
According to customs statistics, the export growth of Shiling leather products in 2008 still reached 30.12%, but from the perspective of safety in mind, Shiling leather products are planning to enter the Latin American market with the free port of Panama as the bridgehead.
In addition, in order to solve the problem of financing difficulties, Shiling Town has been preparing for the establishment of small and medium enterprises loan companies since July last year, and has submitted approval to the higher authorities.
