Global Yarn Stocks Increased In The Three Quarter Of 08, But Fabric Inventories Declined.

The International Federation of textile manufacturers reported that there was one characteristic in the third quarter of 2008, that is, global textile production was lower than the previous quarter.

The first quarter.

Because of the decline in production in Asia, Europe and North America, the global yarn production is decreasing, but the yarn production in South America is higher.

On the other hand, global production declined and output in Asia, Europe and North America decreased.

Only South America has grown.

In the third quarter, global yarn inventories rose slightly, while fabric inventories continued to decrease.

In the same period, European orders for yarn and fabrics declined.

Brazil yarn orders remain unchanged and fabric orders are rising strongly.

Globally, yarn production decreased by 2.8% in the third quarter compared with the previous quarter, with the production of Asian yarns (-2.6%), Europe (-3.6%) and North America (-21.4%).

Only South America grew by 12.9%.

On the annual basis, world yarn production increased by 4.6%, of which Asia and South America increased by 6.2% and 33.9% respectively, while Europe and North America decreased by -14.8% and -27.2% respectively.

Compared with the previous quarter, world fabric production decreased by -1.7% in the third quarter, and output in Asia, Europe and North America decreased by -1.6%, -4.4% and -5.4% respectively.

Fabric production in South America increased by 2.4% during this period.

World fabric production decreased by -4.3% compared to the same period last year.

Europe, Asia and North America declined by -2.5%, -5.2% and -27.8% respectively, while South America's output increased by 15.6%.

Global yarn inventories grew by 0.3% compared to the two quarter.

Asian yarn stocks increased (0.6%), Europe (-0.6%), North America and South America did not increase or decrease.

On the annual basis, yarn inventories increased by 2.4% in the third quarter of the world, and 0.4%, 5.7% and 24.3% in Asia, Europe and South America respectively.

In the third quarter, global inventories decreased by -11.8%, and Asian inventories (-20.2%) and European inventories (-0.7%) increased in North America (3.9%) in the same year, and fabric inventory in South America remained unchanged.

Compared with the same period last year, global storage declined by -35.2%: Asia -48.4%, South America -12.4%, North America and Europe fell by -11.0%-2.0% respectively.

The third quarter European yarn order index -0.6%, Brazil stable, but on the basis of the annual decline of -1.6% and -6.8% respectively.

European fabric orders fell by 0.6%, but Brazil grew by 2.4%.

Compared with the third quarter of 2007, European orders fell by -1.0%, but Brazil's orders surged by +9.3%.
