Wen Jiabao, premier of the State Council, chaired a State Council executive meeting on 25, and decided to raise the export tax rebate rate of some textile, clothing, light industry, steel, nonferrous metals, petrochemical and electronic information products starting from April 1, 2009.

The Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation issued a circular on 27 days to raise the export rebate rate of textiles, clothing, light industry, electronic information, steel, non-ferrous metals and petrochemical products from April 1, 2009. Among them, the export tax rebate rate of textiles and clothing increased to 16%.

According to the circular on improving the export tax rebate rate of textile and electronic information products, the export rebate rate of commodities such as CRT (cathode ray tube) and color TV products has been raised to 17%; the export tax rebate rate of textiles and garments has been raised to 16%; the export rebate rate of metal furniture and other commodities has been raised to 13%; the export tax rebate rate of goods such as vehicle rearview mirror has been raised to 11%; the export tax rebate rate of goods such as locks has been raised to 9%; the export tax rebate rate of commodities such as commodity calcium hypochlorite and other calcium hypochlorite has increased to 5%.
