In 1996, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission released a guide for tethered children's clothing to avoid wearing children's jackets with string, such as jackets or sweaters, children being tied up at the neck or waist.

In May 2006, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission sent letters to manufacturers, retailers and importers of children's coat Jackets: asked them to ensure that children's clothing comply with the safety specifications for standard consumer products on tethered children's coat.

This standard mainly requires the rope ends, cords and other accessories on the children's garments. The difference between the size of the rope and the rope size of the waist and bottom edges is not greater than 75 mm.

Here, the inspection and quarantine department recommends that the relevant enterprises do the following tasks:

First, we need to understand the requirements of the United States on the safety requirements of the rope and small parts of children's clothing, and organize production in strict accordance with the technical regulations and standards of the importing countries, so as to raise the management level of children's clothing production.

Two, we should pay attention to avoiding risks when signing foreign trade contracts with customers, not accepting defective designs and avoiding claims for return.

Three, enterprises should strengthen the safety project review of product design and development, check the safety items of the first product, and enterprises with conditions should also build or jointly build laboratories according to their own product characteristics and export requirements, carry out the inspection of related safety items for clothing, enhance the ability of self-examination and self-control of enterprises, and effectively avoid risks.
