The relevant treatment issues of health care workers and related workers who are infected with SARS are as follows: in the prevention and treatment of infectious atypical pneumonia, doctors and nurses and related staff are infected with infectious atypical pneumonia or died of infectious atypical pneumonia because of their duties. They can enjoy the treatment related to industrial injury and the relevant provisions of industrial injury insurance.

The relevant expenses for the above staff members who participate in the industrial injury insurance shall be paid by the industrial injury insurance fund and the unit according to the relevant provisions of the industrial injury insurance. If the employer fails to take part in the industrial injury insurance, the expenses paid by the employer and the financial subsidy institution shall be subsidized by the same level of finance.

The implementation of these measures will be implemented by the end of 2003 when the relevant policies are promulgated by the state.

The labor security, personnel, financial and health administrative departments at all levels should closely cooperate with each other and do well in service, and jointly do well the work injury identification and treatment payment of the above personnel.
