Chile Earthquake Or Quanzhou Shoe Exports
A 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile will affect the export of enterprises in our city.
Yesterday, some export enterprises told reporters that after the earthquake, they immediately sent e-mails and telephones to contact with Chilean customers to inquire about their safety situation. Some customers replied that they were not affected by the earthquake, but the business needs to be postponed.
According to statistics, in the first half of last year, the Quanzhou entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau issued 236 copies of the certificate of origin issued to Chile, with a visa amounting to US $8 million 200 thousand.
"The largest number of Quanzhou exports to Chile are footwear products."
The staff of the Bureau said that the consumption level in Chile was almost the same as that in China. In recent years, the number of shoes and machinery exported to Chile has grown rapidly. Chile is gradually becoming one of the important export markets in Quanzhou.
