According to the statistics of Guangzhou customs, Guangdong clothing and accessories (hereinafter referred to as "clothing") exported to US $3 billion 760 million in 1~2, an increase of 28.7% over the same period last year, from 17.8% in the same period last year to an increase of 28.7%.

Among them, exports of US $1 billion 530 million in February, a substantial increase of 56.7%.

Analysis pointed out that in 2010, the global economy entered a slow recovery period.

Guangdong's garment export industry is facing various difficulties: on the one hand, overcapacity and low end product competition; on the other hand, the shortage of labour force in the Pearl River Delta, the rising cost of raw materials, and the squeezing of the profit margins of enterprises.

At present, the RMB has remained stable within a narrow range of 6.82 to 6.83 over the past year, and opportunities and challenges exist for enterprises. Enterprises should actively increase the added value and competitiveness of products, track the changing situation of foreign trade environment in a timely manner, adjust export strategies and expand overseas sales markets.
