Ready-Made Clothes

A senior executive from the first industrial ministry of Burma said at the Sixteenth Annual Meeting of Burma Federation of industry and commerce that some of the garment factories in Burma were closed down due to financial crisis, restrictions on clothing export quotas and reduced orders.

30 of the original 180 garment factories are closed, and only 150 are left.

A Burma garment maker said that in order to avoid over reliance on exports, turning to the domestic market is also a good choice.

The industry believes that in order to obtain more foreign orders, the quality of domestic garment industry needs to continue to improve, and trade associations should also set up corresponding training courses.

In addition, it is also necessary to open the market and simplify the relevant approval procedures.
