Focusing On The New Standard Of Reflective Vest Made By ANSI And ISEA In The United States
Recently, the National Standards Institute of the United States (ANSI) and the international safety equipment Association (ISEA) jointly launched a new standard, which is numbered ANSI/ISEA207-2006. It provides detailed provisions for the reflective vests of practitioners in the field of public safety in terms of design, specification and usage. The purpose is to better protect the personal safety of workers by improving the visibility of vests.
The main service objects of reflective vests that conform to the ANSI/ISEA207-2006 standard are public security departments such as police, fire fighting, first aid, emergency rescue and so on.
At the request of the vast number of users, the Federal Highway Administration of the United States has conducted a detailed examination of the ANSI/ISEA207-2006 standard. The conclusion is that the vest produced by this standard has excellent reflectivity and excellent visibility at night.
ANSI/ISEA207-2006 high visibility reflective vest standard is different from ANSI/ISEA107-2004 high visibility safety uniform and hat standard.
The main difference is that under the 207-2006 standard, product design is more flexible and tactical protection is more powerful.
In addition, the majority of uniform manufacturers also call for the development of new standards different from the 107-2004 standard so as to better serve the public safety departments.
In addition to general requirements for the size, color and material properties of reflective vests, the new standard also provides special provisions for users of fire fighting, law enforcement and emergency rescue.
