In recent 1 months, the spot price of nylon chips in Asia has been maintained at a high level of nearly 22 months, about 2900 US dollars / ton (CFR, China).

The weakness of spot sales of nylon chips has forced some manufacturers to reduce their start-up rate to 60%.

According to the ICIS price report, the contract price of caprolactam in Asia in May was $2700~2720 / ton (CFR, Northeast Asia), and the contract price of caprolactam in June, which has recently been reported, is still at a high level of 5 years, 2700 US dollars / ton (CFR, Northeast Asia). Under this trend, nylon producers hope to further push up the price.

Market participants pointed out that at present, the peak season for textile production in the main consumer market of nylon downstream has ended, which has a negative impact on the demand for nylon chip market.

However, the price trend of nylon chips will become clearer in the next two weeks, because the raw materials inventory of the textile industry end users will soon be exhausted, and will be forced to re enter the market to buy nylon chips.
