Pakistan Restarts Cotton Yarn Export Business
After about a month's suspension of export, Pakistan resumed export of cotton yarn, which was approved by the Ministry of textiles every day.

Informed sources said that the Ministry of textiles issued a formal SRO 388 (I) /2010 amendment order to amend the previous 323 (I) /2010 notices in May 13th, and the export of prior documents to exports

According to the new SRO, the export of cotton yarn is limited by the quota and price. Exporters can export 2000 tons of cotton yarn at a minimum price of 3.5 US dollars / kg.
After the Ministry of Finance promulgated the SRO, the customs will allow the export of cotton.

The exporter will allow about 2000 tons of cotton yarn to be exported.
Interestingly, the export quota of 2000 tons is exported by spinning enterprises in one day, because hundreds of containers have been waiting for loading since the introduction of the regulatory tax.
According to the notice, the export business which has already opened a letter of credit will be allowed to export after the consideration of the Joint Commission. The joint committee is composed of representatives of the Ministry of textile industry, value-added textile enterprises and spinning enterprises.
However, before the Levy of the regulatory tax, the export of zero duty in the form of orders and letters of credit from foreign buyers has not yet been resumed.
So far, the Ministry of textile industry has not yet established a committee to assess the letter of credit.
According to the sources, the export of yarn in the form of a letter of credit is based on first come first served, with a maximum allowance of 32000 tons for export at zero tariff.
The source added that the commission could be formed within a few days, and export orders for export have been resumed since then.
