Ouk Boung, Secretary of state, said that the growth of global consumption has promoted the growth of Kampuchea's exports. This (2010) 5 months ago, Kampuchea's export value reached US $1 billion 200 million, up 13.82% from the 1 billion 60 million US dollars in the same period (2009) in the same period, and the value of imports in the same period was US $1 billion 740 million, up 17.45% from the 1 billion 480 million US dollars in the same period last year.

The Secretary of state also said that Kampuchea's economic development has been on the right track as the global financial crisis has slowed down. Since this year, Japan, South Korea and European countries have conducted investment surveys to Cambodia, indicating that Kampuchea's economy has improved.
