In from August 9th to 10th, the China Textile and clothing education association and the Wuhan Textile University jointly organized the "China Textile and garment" 12th Five-Year "planning textbook seminar" held in Wuhan. The conference further discussed the theme of preparing the national planning teaching materials for 12th Five-Year, confirming the "12th Five-Year" ministries and grade planning teaching materials, selecting excellent teaching materials in 11th Five-Year, and promoting the development of textile and clothing education.

Xu Kunyuan, vice president of China Textile Industry Association, Yao Mu, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, Ni Yang Sheng, President of China Textile and clothing education association, Chi Zongjun, Secretary of the Party committee of China Textile publishing house, Shang Gang, principal Wei Yiliang of Wuhan Textile University, and experts and scholars from textile and garment industries of Donghua University, Wuhan spinning and weaving university, etc., gathered in Jiangcheng to explore teaching material construction.

Xu Kunyuan, vice president of China Textile Industry Association, thinks that the textile industry in the future is a comprehensive industry with cross disciplinary and interdisciplinary subjects. The demand for qualified personnel is high. As a very important basic project, teaching materials should be scientifically set up and help to train excellent top-notch talents.

Yao Mu, a famous textile expert in China and a member of the Chinese Academy of engineering, pointed out that the compilation of teaching materials should help to promote technological progress and personnel training in the industry. Textile engineering colleges should set up relevant disciplines scientifically, attach importance to teaching practice links, and strive to improve students' practical ability.

Ni Yangsheng, President of the China Institute of textile and clothing education, believes that the compilation of teaching materials should be made in "Five Combinations", that is, combining with the national industrial planning, combining with the textile industry pfer, combining with the adjustment of industrial structure, combining with the policies advocated by the state, combining with the teaching reform and the construction of professional disciplines, and improving the understanding and construction of teaching materials, and the relevant industries, institutions and publishing houses should cooperate with each other.

During the two day seminar, experts and scholars held a heated discussion around the "12th Five-Year plan" textbook and the selection of "11th Five-Year" excellent teaching materials, put forward many constructive suggestions, and put forward some suggestions for publishing the relevant teaching materials to the press.
