The cumulative retail sales in 1-7 months amounted to 5 billion 930 million yuan, an increase of 26.9% over the same period last year, an increase of 15.3 percentage points over the same period last year, the highest level since 2007.
The total retail sales grew by 12.9% over the same period last year, up 7.5 percentage points from last year, up 1.7 percentage points from 2008.
Garment manufacturers in July are facing pressure from rising raw materials and rising clothing prices, resulting in a slight decline in the volume of clothing retail sales compared with the first half of the month.
In July, the retail sales volume of 100 large retail enterprises increased by 21 million 548 thousand percentage points, an increase of 7.5 percentage points over the same period last year. The growth rate increased by 4.7 percentage points over the same period last year. Compared with June, the retail sales volume dropped by 8 percentage points, and the growth rate of retail sales declined slightly compared with other months in 2010.
