China's national development and Reform Commission and the state certification and accreditation supervision commission (CAC) on 9 may held the first meeting of the conference on "tackling climate change special topic - the establishment of China's low carbon certification system" in Beijing.

China's low carbon certification system research project was organized and implemented by the national development and Reform Commission and the National Commission for Discipline Inspection and supervision. The China Quality Certification Center took the lead, and the Chinese Standardization Research Institute, the National Energy Institute, the China Electronic Technology Standardization Institute and the central joint certification center participated in the implementation.

The aim of the project is to analyze China's low carbon certification policy and technology demand through the comparative study of the international low carbon certification system, proceed from China's national conditions and development status, study and establish the framework system of China's low carbon certification system, and gradually improve it through pilot research, so as to provide basis for relevant departments to formulate China's low carbon certification management system.
