The Group believes that all subjects are closely related to the "national medium and long term plan for science and technology development (2006~2020 years)" and "textile industry readjustment and revitalization plan". Aiming at the upgrading needs of chemical fiber industry, developing the key technology of super cotton imitation and the complete set of industrial production technology, which is of great strategic significance for easing the contradiction between supply and demand of cotton and effectively utilizing excess polyester production capacity, and speeding up the adjustment of the product structure and upgrading of industrial technology in China's textile industry.

The project has set up four topics: "new super cotton imitation PET polyester fiber manufacturing industrialization technology development", "domestic PTT polyester fiber manufacturing complete technology development", "terephthalic acid production process intensification key technology development and industrialization", "new super Imitation cotton polyester fiber dyeing and finishing key technology and product development".

The experts agree that the technical route of each topic is reasonable, the innovation point is outstanding, the goal is clear, the plan is feasible, and the application prospect is broad.

The above topics are organized and coordinated by the chemical fiber industry technology innovation strategic alliance. The research institutes are organized by the China Textile Science Research Institute, Donghua University and Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. as the lead units. Through participating in the upstream and downstream matching and collaborative attack, they will provide a good guarantee for the smooth implementation of the project.
