The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) said at its annual meeting in St Paul, Brazil.

We are concerned about the negative impact of soaring cotton prices and soaring prices on the value chain of international cotton textiles from fiber to retail.

ITMF says, all over the world.

紡織工業(yè)沒有能力消化不斷上漲的棉花價(jià)格,在過去幾個(gè)月,棉花價(jià)格漲至歷史新高,威脅到紡織工業(yè)的生存。

ITMF requires retailers to change their business in the new business environment due to rising raw material prices.

business model

。

In the past 20 years, the global textile industry experienced a nominal price deflation of clothing and household textiles, during which the average decline was about 50%.

This trend is not sustainable and must be reversed.

Faced with this background, ITMF invites retailers, department stores, distributors and suppliers from all over the world to discuss with their suppliers the fundamental changes in the global textile value chain, in order to better understand the risks and threats faced by all stakeholders, and develop a strategy for healthy and sustainable development of textile value chain.

The International Federation of textile manufacturers (ITMF) is an International Federation of the world textile industry. The international union organizes annual meetings, participates in the evolution of the value chain of textile industry through surveys, research and publications, publishes opinions on future trends and national development, and maintains its links among members of the world. The world textile industry maintains international level cooperation through ITMF.
