The Forbidden City'S Royal Costume Is Unveiled In London, England.
The 7 day of the Qing Dynasty Royal robe held in the Imperial Palace opened in Vitoria and Albert Museum, London.
This is the first time that the Imperial Palace's Royal robe has appeared in Europe.
The exhibition, entitled "Chinese imperial robe from the Forbidden City", shows more than 50 costumes and gowns worn by different emperors and empress dresses on different occasions, including the dress worn by the last empress Echnara Janifen and Emperor Guangxu's wedding, and 20 accessories and 15 kinds of ready-made cloth.
Liu Mingqian, the curator of the exhibition and the Vitoria and Albert Museum, said that 2/3 of the royal robes displayed on the exhibition were first made outside China. The exhibition helped to promote cultural exchanges between Britain and China, so that the British audience could learn more about Chinese dress traditions and provide more inspiration for British designers.
