In these States, 3 states, including Connecticut, Illinois and Minnesota, have already set up a requirement that the content of soluble cadmium in children's jewelry should not exceed 0.0075%.

California, Florida, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island are currently considering similar legislation.

Inspection and quarantine experts pointed out that so far, the cadmium limit has covered 1/5 states of the United States, and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission is drawing up mandatory standards.
