The joint meeting of the secretary general was held in Beihai.

The Secretary General of the garment industry association of all provinces, municipalities and key cities of China and the full-time chairman of China clothing association and relevant heads of various departments attended the meeting.

The meeting was presided over by Wang Zhuo, Secretary General of China Fashion Association.

Chen Dapeng, executive vice president of the China clothing association, summarized the industrial development in the past five years. He pointed out that although industry related factors have been changing in the past five years, the industry still has a good momentum of development, and the pace of industrial progress and industrial upgrading is accelerating.

He believes that in 2011, we entered a brand new ten years, and the Chinese garment industry is ushering in a new opportunity.

We must realize that we are in a fast developing and changing era, especially the development of information technology, which is changing our way of life, consumption mode, exchange mode and production mode rapidly.

We should also see the gap with developed countries, and fully recognize the urgency and arduous nature of the pformation and upgrading of industries.

He emphasized that we should closely grasp the changing trend of the overall industry development environment and market shape, and intensify our research efforts.

Finally, Feng Dehu, a full-time vice president of the China clothing association, summed up. He stressed that we should focus on the basic work of the industry's quality and standards, take service enterprises as the center, do well the government's assistants, integrate resources, give full play to their advantages, meet the needs of the development of enterprises, and develop new demands of enterprises to make efforts to build a strong garment country.

Finally, the conference commended the secretary general who made outstanding contributions for the first time.

Of these, 27 were awarded the title of advanced worker and 12 were awarded the prize.
