Pakistan Textile Minister Insists On Prohibiting Yarn Export
Federal Minister of textiles of Pakistan Rana Farooq Said (Rana Farooq Saeed) visited the Punjab Office of the Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) on Monday to tell the media that although he decided prohibit Pakistan Yarn outlet But he did not regret the interference in the free market mechanism.
Speaking of the EU's free market access, the Federal Minister of textiles said that negotiations are ongoing and that once the European Union has adopted free market access, the government will be ready to meet all kinds of challenges, including energy shortages.
However, he said that if there were no floods, Pakistan will produce 15 million bales of cotton this year.
He said cotton prices are very attractive this year, so cotton farmers may expand their cotton production next year.
He said the government decided to import liquefied natural gas to solve the energy crisis.
But he did not explain when the government began to implement the plan.
