Beijing time September 18th, former US tennis star Agassi recently accused Target of selling the sandals with his name without Agassi's permission.

Agassi's company claimed that in June this year, Target, headquartered in Minneapolis, sold the name of retired tennis star Agassi on sandals, violating the trademark law.

In June 27th, the company's lawyers told Agassi's company that they had removed Agassi's name from the sandals according to the prosecution.

But Agassi's company said that in August and September, they saw two Target branches and the Amazon.com website still selling the shoe.

In response, Target's spokesman, Amy von, apologized that it was entirely due to the company's negligence that they would put a new label on the sandals again. Amy,

"The negligence of individual stores led to the prosecution."

Amy & Co. said, "Target has more than 1500 branches worldwide."

She also explained that their company did not intend to sell sandals printed with Agassi's name, and did not appear in the process of producing sandals itself by the name of Agassi.

Target has sold 52589 pairs of sandals this year, with a total sales volume of US $661184, according to the Las Vegas federal court's prosecution document on Friday.

The impact of this tort is three fold, because it is global, arbitrary and absurd, and it is also punitive.

Agassi, the famous American star, withdrew from the men's tennis court last year. His tennis career was brilliant and he won 8 Grand Slam trophies.
