Recently, the Egyptian Ministry of industry and Trade approved the adoption of 5 new textile standards aimed at enhancing product quality and ensuring consumer health and safety.

The above 5 technical standards are formulated by the General Administration of quality standards of Egypt, mainly for the use of harmful substances in textile technology.

The new standards include:

1. The lead content of children's clothing should not exceed 300ppm;

Two, prohibit the use of 23 azo dyes and 9 other carcinogenic dyes.

Three, infant clothing formaldehyde content should not be higher than 20ppm;

Four, adult direct contact with skin clothing formaldehyde content is not more than 75ppm;

Five. The formaldehyde content of clothing with direct contact with skin should not exceed 300ppm.
