If this bill is passed, the African countries that will benefit the African Growth and timing act clothing Departments benefit more.

This bill is urgently required because major international buyers usually plan their procurement at least 6-12 months ahead of schedule. The early adoption of this bill will exclude the gloom of uncertainty in the garment industry, which is now popular in Africa's growth and timing act.

From the US perspective, the proposed bill is not very important, because clothing from African countries is only a small part of the total clothing imports in the United States. However, this provision is an important lifeline for garment exporters in countries such as Kenya and Lesotho.

Therefore, at the recent meeting on African Growth and Opportunity Act in Lusaka, the African apparel and Textile Industry Federation and other African Growth and timing act countries called for the extension of third country clauses.

The proposed law also seeks to incorporate the new independent southern Sultan into the eligible countries of the African Growth and Opportunity Act.
