Japanese Rubber New Material "Touches Magnetism" Becomes Hard
Yamagata University has recently announced that its researchers have developed a peacetime image.

The resin is filled with iron particles with a diameter of 3 microns, and then a magnetic field of 300 milli Tesla is made by using permanent magnets. After 1/10 seconds, the iron particles will be arranged in a straight line, making the rubber material hard.
According to the strength of the magnetic field, the hardness of the new material can reach up to 180 times of the original hardness.
Previous studies have been devoted to developing similar materials, but their hardness is only 3 times that of original hardness.
The tests carried out by the research group showed that the technology was utilized.
Manufacture
The rubber cylinder with a diameter of 3.5 cm and a height of 5 cm has enough hardness to withstand over 8 tons of pressure.
After removing the magnetic field for dozens of seconds, the material can restore its original softness.
