The students from the Department of fashion marketing of Donghua University Raffles international design school came to the "Lille Europe Pavilion" at the rainbow Temple Art Center, Nanjing East Road, Shanghai. Combined with their previous textile lessons, they learned the advanced textile technology and the amazing high-tech art brought by the "future textiles exhibition" in Lille, France.

The "future textile exhibition" is the main theme of the "French contemporary art exhibition" in the European Pavilion of Lille. The exhibition not only arranged the scientific teaching angle, but also presented silk threads directly extracted from basalt blocks or stainless steel blocks, and designed exhibits such as "future cosmos" and "Ariane rocket model", so that the students could appreciate the various protective functions of textile fibers.

And N.G.'s "textile and music craft", which is created by Kim Si Lei, allows you to experience the possibility of converting from textile technology to sound and image conversion.

"This futuristic textile exhibition enables us to discover that fabrics can also play an innovative role in many fields such as aviation, medical treatment, science and technology, art and so on.

This not only opens up the international perspective, but also enables us to learn to dare to break through traditional thinking and create new ideas in the future.

As one of the five French pavilions in World Expo, Shanghai in 2010, some European experience and interesting installation art in Lille Europe Pavilion also attracted the attention of college students.

Such as "Monalisa Monalisa 2" made by 5184 pieces of spool, the huge portrait of Monalisa is inverted on the wall of the exhibition hall. Through the pparent plastic ball placed in front, we can see the different smiles of Monalisa with the change of daytime night light.

There is also an interactive device, "contact", which is displayed by the body of visitors, producing variable sounds through contact between skin and skin.

The inspiration of the French made some high technology become more vitality and artistic sense, so that the university students could appreciate the great power of design.

From these interactions, the Raffles students in Donghua began to think about what impact the future technology will have on textiles, the environment and even the society in the twenty-first Century.

While appreciating how high-end textiles can change people's lives in the future, they also make students more firm in their professional field and strive to contribute positively to the dream of "Better City, better life".
