The footwear product recall cases have obviously increased in the past two years. The main reasons are: (1) the shoe decorating part, its small parts falling off or sharp tip can easily cause harm to children or adults; (2) toxic and hazardous substances exceed standard, such as heavy metals and methyl esters of fumaric acid, and so on; (3) poor product design, such as the heel is easy to fall off, and the decoration is not pasted firmly; (4) other reasons. Statistics show that the recall cases of small parts and sharp cutting-edge and toxic and harmful substances account for more than 75% of the total number of recalls.

The supervision and spot checks are strictly carried out in accordance with the product supervision and spot check plan to ensure the consistency and representativeness of the samples. A total of 16 samples of 16 shoe enterprises were selected from the spot checks, and the footwear products of spot checks included rubber shoes, leather shoes and so on.
