The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals of the United States awarded LVMH to win the infringement case. The website operators and the third party accused of the case should be responsible for the counterfeit goods.
The case was brought up in the northern court of California in 2007 and published in 2009.

The center of the case is that LVMH group accuses Akanoc Solutions Inc, Managed Brands Solutions Group Inc, and its holder Steven Chen allows the site to sell fake LVMH group brand goods under the informed circumstances.

The interests of each plaintiff are required to pay the LVMH group's compensation of US $10800000.
The trial results released in mid September require Steven Chen and Akanoc to jointly compensate $10800000.
But the case is not yet over. If Akanoc appeals, the case will be heard by the Supreme Court.
