Greek retail sales this year fell by 30% during the Christmas season, the lowest level in decades.

Compared with footwear sales, the annual sales fell by 40%, sales of electrical and electronic products decreased by 30%, and sales of food and beverage decreased by 15%.
ESEE said that 9/10 of the people began to helplessly tighten their consumption, because the domestic economy of Greece was still in recession. Meanwhile, workers' salaries and pension expenses had been sharply reduced, and the domestic inflation situation was still rising.
