According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the United States recalled 22 children's garments in 2011, including 5 batches of children's pajamas with flame-retardant properties, accounting for 22.7% of the total batch.

CPSC stipulates that after the vertical test of the pajamas, the average damage length of the 5 samples can not exceed 17.8cm, and the damaged length of the sample is not.

It is understood that the United States fire retardant safety regulations impose three combustion levels on textiles.

The 1 level is the general combustion characteristic; the 2 level is the moderate combustion characteristic; the 3 level is the fast and the intense combustion, this kind of textile is considered to be the danger.

In this regard, the inspection and quarantine department reminds us to export children's clothing enterprises in the United States: first, we should pay attention to the relevant laws and regulations of the exporting countries, keep abreast of the latest changes, and avoid the notification, export returns, trade claims and so on, because of the failure of the product safety index, and the two is to strengthen the management of the suppliers of raw and auxiliary materials, and establish the evaluation and filing system for the suppliers.
