China Is The Largest Source Of Imported Luggage And Leather Goods In Italy.
Italy luggage and leather products association website reported on July 1st that China is the largest source country of imported luggage and leather goods in Italy.
According to a joint investigation by the association and the Italy National Bureau of statistics, Italy imported 704 million cases of leather goods from China in 2006 (leather and synthetic leather), and imports amounted to 835 million euros in 2007, an increase of 18.55% over the previous year, accounting for 51.53% of Italy's imports, which means that more than 1/2 of its imports come from China.
